Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Mastery of scientific literacy is one of the objectives in science learning. Chemistry is one of the aspects of the material in science, so that control of chemical literacy is one indicator of the success of achieving success performance scientific literacy. This study aims to measure literacy levels of chemical science student teachers in the subject of Basic Chemistry. Ability scientific literacy of students that will be measured are to: 1) recognize chemical concepts (nominal literacy); 2) Describe the chemical concepts (functional literacy); 3) use their understanding of chemical concepts to explain a phenomenon (conceptual literacy); and 4) use their understanding of chemistry to analyze information from short paragraph (literacy multi-dimensional). This research is descriptive qualitative. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling technique. The sample (N= 61) was composed of first and second year in the Department of Science Education. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and open-ended paragraphs. The validity of the instrument used was expert judgment. Based on the research results, obtained the literacy skills of students by 56.64% nominal or category, please, and functional literacy of 26.40% or category Very Less. Meanwhile, conceptual literacy was 61.50%; multidimensional literacy was 50.20%. The low level of ability on functional literacy and multidimensional was because students are not accustomed to using asessment that revealed a high level thinking skills. These findings are expected to help in the design process of the new curriculum (KKNI) which put an emphasis on instructional strategies in developing chemical literacy.

Abstract

The Industrial revolution 4.0 era has changed the view of educational model focus, where the old literacy knowledge (reading, writing, and mathematic) is not enough to be modal in a society. Curriculum reorientation is needed as new literacy so it keeps to be existed in that era. This research aims to understand validity and reading level of Integrated Sciences digital module based on scientific literacy students, and to analyze TCK skills of students after using digital module. This research use R & D method with subject of 44 science teacher candidate. Validating was done by expert validator. Reading level uses the result of scale test. TCK analyzed with descriptive percentage. Research showed there is acceptance using of Integrated Sciences digital module with reading level in intermediate level (51,90%) and validity is high (81,25%). TCK was analyzed with likert type scale in a enough criteria due to use of digital module. It is concluded that Integrated Science digital module based on scientific literacy can be used as learning module. Development of other digital module needs supporting from high institution so that it can hold on industry revolution 4.0 era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Project-based Multi-Representation Discourse model in improving students’ science process skills. The method used was the quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group research design. The population in this study was VII graders of SMP N 17 Tegal. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling techniques. The data were taken through tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the students learning using the Project-based Multi-Representation Discourselearning model had an average N-gain percentage of 72.27%. The percentage score was higher than the students studying using the Multi-Representation Discourse (MRD) learning model which had an average N-gain percentage of 42.50%. The results of the data analysis showed that the Project-based Multi-Representation Discourselearning model is effective enough to be applied and has an effect on improving science process skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui capaian kompetensi literasi sains dan ada tidaknya perbedaan kompetensi literasi sains antara sekolah peringkat atas, menengah, dan bawah. Kompetensi literasi sains diukur menggunakan tes PISA 2009 dan 2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah multistage random sampling berdasarkan peringkat UNBK 2018. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 340 siswa kelas VIII dari 9 sekolah yang mewakili peringkat atas, menengah, dan bawah. Penelitian menghasilkan kompetensi literasi sains peserta didik tingkat SMP Negeri Kota Tegal dalam kategori sangat rendah, yaitu memperoleh rata-rata sebesar (40.62+0.97)%. Capaian kompetensi literasi sains pada kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah mencapai skor (45.77+1.09)%; kompetensi mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah mencapai skor (27.50+1.36)%; dan kompetensi menginterpretasi data dan bukti ilmiah mencapai skor (36.73+1.08)%. Berdasarkan peringkat sekolah, tidak terdapat perbedaan skor kompetensi literasi sains antara kelompok sekolah peringkat atas, peringkat menengah, dan peringkat bawah dengan nilai signifikan 0.06>0.05.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Menyusun tes literasi lingkungan hidup berbasis pada kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi, (2) Menganalisis validitas isi dan psikometri tes literasi lingkungan hidup berbasis pada kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi, (3) Menganalisis validitas konstrak tes literasi lingkungan hidup berbasis pada kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif , dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Januari 2021 bertempat di SMP N 1 Balapulang . Dalam penelitian ini populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP N 1 Balapulang tahun ajaran 2020/2021 mata pelajaran IPA yang mengikuti tes literasi lingkungan hidup. Sampel adalah sebanyak 210 peserta didik yang diambil dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive . Unit analisis penelitian ini adalah 210 lembar jawab yang diperoleh dari hasil tes literasi lingkungan hidup melalui aplikasi quizizz di SMP N 1 Balapulang. Tes literasi lingkungan hidup dapat disusun berbasis pada kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Tes tersebut telah memenuhi validitas isi dan validitas psikometrik setelah melalui penilaian para ahli materi tes dan ahli psikometri. Tes literasi lingkungan hidup yang telah disusun memenuhi persyaratan validitas konstrak tipe isi, substantif dan struktural. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan uji kecocokan respons peserta tes dengan model, uji konsistensi peserta tes dalam menjawab dan uji analisis faktor. Dengan penerapan model Rasch, sebanyak 29 item dari 30 item tes literasi lingkungan hidup yang cocok. dengan model yang digunaka npada taraf signifikansi 0.01 % . Seluruh respons peserta tes konsisten dalam menjawab item pada taraf signifikansi 0.001 % sehingga dapat dinyatakan item-item tes telah memenuhi validitas substantif. Berdasarkan nilai eigen value dan pola gamabara Scree Plot dapata disimpulkan bahwa tes literasi lingkungan hidup memenuhi asumsi unidimensi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakteristik media pembelajaran 3D buklet berbasis literasi sains dan kevalidan media pembelajaran 3D buklet berbasis literasi sains yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan, tahap pengembangan, pembuatan desain produk, validasi oleh validator, evaluasi dan penyempurnaan, produk media yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu media pembelajaran 3D buklet berbasis literasi sains yang memiliki karakteristik literasi sains di dalamnya, antara lain sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, sains sebagai cara untuk menyelidiki, sains sebagai cara berfikir, dan interaksi antara sains, teknologi dan masyarakat. Kevalidan media pembelajaran 3D buklet berbasis literasi sains yang dikembangkan masuk kategori sangat tinggi dengan perolehan rata-rata total skor validasi sebesar 17,2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Validitas isi (2) validitas psikometrik dan (3) validitas konstrak asesmen kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP dengan pemodelan Rasch, serta (4) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 September 2021 di MTs NU 01 Kramat. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh lembar jawab siswa MTs NU pada mata pelajaran IPA tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Butir-butir Instrumen asesmen kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP telah memenuhi (1) validitas isi (2) validitas psikometri dan (3) validitas konstrak menjelaskan: (a) item fit instrumen dinyatakan fit dengan tingkat kesukaran butir berada di interval antara (-3.00) - 3.00, (b) sebanyak 11.95 % respon tidak person fit, (c) dengan scree plot menunjukkan instrumen tes bersifat unidimensi. (4) Prosentase nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis rata-rata peserta tes sebesar 52.6 %. This study aims to determine: (1) content validity (2) psychometric validity and (3) construct validity of critical thinking skills assessment in science learning in junior high school using Rasch modeling, and (4) to describe students' critical thinking skills in science learning in junior high school. This type of research is descriptive exploratory using a quantitative approach. The research was carried out on 9 September 2021 at MTs NU 01 Kramat. The population used is all NU MTs student answer sheets in science subjects for the 2021/2022 academic year. Items The instrument for assessing critical thinking skills in science learning in junior high school has met (1) content validity (2) psychometric validity and (3) construct validity explaining: (a) the item fit of the instrument is declared fit with the item difficulty level being in the interval between ( -3.00) - 3.00, (b) 11.95 % of the responses are not person fit, (c) the scree plot shows that the test instrument is unidimensional. (4) The percentage of the average critical thinking ability of the test takers is 52.6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Menentukan kevalidan Modul Pengelolaan Laboratorium IPA Bab Keselamatan Dan Keamanan Kerja yang dikembangkan; 2). Menentukan tingkat keterbacaan Modul Pengelolaan Laboratorium IPA yang dikembangkan; 3) Mengetahui keefektifan modul Pengelolaan Laboratorium Ipa Bab Keselamatan Dan Keamanan Kerja Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Calon Guru IPA. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Pancasakti Tegal dengan subjek penelitian mahamahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan IPA Universitas Pancasakti Tegal yang mengambil Mata Kuliah Pengelolaan Lab IPA. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 32 mahamahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research & Development) model pengembangan Borg & Gall yang dikembangkan oleh Tim Pusat Penelitian Kebijakan dan Inovasi (Puslitjaknov). Langkah-langkah pengembangan modul PLH dimulai dengan menganalisis kebutuhan, pengembangan instrumen, pembuatan modul PLH, tahapan validasi oleh validator baik dari segi validitas isi maupun konstruk, evaluasi dan penyempurnaan, ujicoba produk, ujicoba skala terbatas digunakan untuk menguji tingkat keterbacaan dan ujicoba skala luas menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil akhir berupa modul, yang sudah teruji kevalidan, tingkat keterbacaannya dan keefektifannya. Metode analisis data menggunakan deskriptif, persentase skor untuk keterampilan proses sains kemudian dianalisis secara parametrik dengan menggunakan uji t. Diharapkan dengan adanya modul, yang teruji kevalidan dan efektivitasnya .
