<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the implementation of multimedia-based learning methods in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject, student responses and engagement, and student comprehension of PAI material at SMA Negeri 1 Tongas. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach and is classified as field research. Research informants included the Islamic Religious Education teacher, the deputy principal for curriculum affairs, homeroom teachers, and three students selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that multimedia-based learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tongas is implemented using PowerPoint, LCD projectors, instructional videos, images, and various digital learning resources available at the school. The implementation of multimedia elicited a positive response from students, evidenced by their increased enthusiasm, attention, and engagement during the learning process. Furthermore, the use of multimedia helped transform abstract Islamic Religious Education concepts into more concrete ideas, thereby facilitating comprehension and reinforcing retention of the material. Thus, multimedia-based learning serves as an effective strategy for enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education instruction at the high school level.]]>
