Al-Azhar is one of the famous foreign language courses in Pare Kediri. This research is conducted because Al-Azhar Course Institute has interesting programs, and some teaching staff are native Arabs (Yemen), and use fun methods that make it easier for students to understand and Arabic quickly. This study aims to describe the planning and design of learning in Al-Azhar course institutions. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. Data is obtained from informants who are instructors at the Al-Azhar Course Institute. Data analysis in this study consists of 3 stages, namely: Data Condensation, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results obtained in this study are: First, the planning carried out by the Al-Azhar course institution is a type of project planning, and top-down planning. Second, the design of learning that is carried out is initiated by placement test, then determines the material that is in accordance with students' abilities, and finally evaluates.

Abstrak. Pengetahuan dan pendidikan anak pertama kali diperoleh melalui pengalaman pembelajaran di rumah. Tanpa disadari penanaman dan penerapan karakter terjadi didalamnya. Namun hingga saat ini kerap kali ditemukan orang tua dirumah selalu mendominasi mendidik anak dengan kata-kata larangan dalam penanaman karakter terhadap anak. Banyak juga ditemukan keluarga dan masyarakat yang masih meremehkan peranan sastra. Masyarakat masih menilai bahwa sastra hanyalah suatu karya yang menghasilkan hayalan dan angan-angan semata pada anak. Literasi memang tidak selau diartikan dengan membaca buku. Melainkan bercerita dan mendengarkan juga termasuk usaha untuk menumbuhkan karakter dasar seorang anak terutama anak usia sekolah dasar atau ibtidaiyah. Anak dapat mengadopsi, meniru dan menilai peran tokoh pada suatu dongeng dan orang tua sebagai pembimbingnya. Namun untuk saat ini masa perkembangan zaman dan pandemi mengakibatkan anak tidak terbiasa dengan literasi. anak lebih tertarik dengan kemajuan teknologi (gadget) sehingga mengakibatkan anak merasa asing terhadap lingkungan masyarakat bahkan berjaraknya emsional antara orang tua dan anak. Dan adanya sastra dengan metode berdongeng dapat menghadirkan kebijaksanaan, kebaikan moral dan budi pekerti melalui karakter-karakter tokoh yang ada didalamnya. Seorang anak dapat diajak berdongeng bersama dan berdiskusi tentang isi didalamnya. Secara tidak langsng kegiatan literasi dalam menanamkan karakter menjadi bagian dalam kehidupan keluarga. Disinilah peranan keluarga sangatlah dibutuhkan, karena adanya keterkaitan antara orang tua dan anak dalam pembentukan karakter anak khususnya di usia sekolah dasar Kata Kunci: Literasi, Dongeng Anak, Pendidikan Karakter

The application of learning media "snakes and ladders" on vocabulary mastery is an appropriate idea in learning Arabic which is very suitable for use at the elementary school level. Mastery of vocabulary in learning the basic potential for learning foreign languages. One of the learning media that can support or that can help improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary is the snake and ladder learning media. This study aims to facilitate the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah An-Nur Turen in mastering vocabulary so that learning becomes fun and uncluttered and can achieve the desired goals. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods. With data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation and tests at the end. The final result in the application of snake and ladder learning media in calculating the t-test in the control group with an average of 51.00, an average difference of 7.50, and a t-count of -5.582. While the results of vocabulary mastery in the calculation of the t-test in the experimental group with an average of 70.6, an average comparison of 15.00, and a t-count of -11.225. So with this, it can be concluded that learning with snakes and ladders media is effective in learning Arabic in terms of vocabulary mastery.Keywords: learning media, snakes and ladders, Arabic vocabulary

Kurangnya ketertarikan dalam membaca, saat ini bukan menjadi rahasia lagi namun telah menjadi masalah bagi banyak individu. Adapun beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kurangnya minat baca, seperti yang sering di jumpai adalah menggunakan gadget yang tidak terkontrol, kurangnya akses untuk membaca serta kuranya dukungan dari orang tua untuk membaca terutama di daerah terpencil. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada anak sehingga dapat meminimalisir kebiasaan anak dalam pemakaian gadget setiap harinya dengan mengadakan program rumah baca di warga Dusun Sentono Desa Lambangkuning Kabupaten Probolinggo dengan menggunakan metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau PAR. Melalui metode ini, penyaluran motivasi dalam membaca akan didapatkan oleh anak-anak di dusun tersebut yang mana terdapat beberapa kegiatan seperti : membaca buku, bercerita, berdikusi, dan diselingi dengan bermainan. Dimulainya kegiatan ini, yaitu pertama menganalisis masalah di daerah tersebut, kedua melakuakan perencanaan dan sosialisasi ke rumah orang tua dilanjutkan dengan pelaksaan program rumah baca dan melakukan kegiatan evaluasi program kegiatan ini. Keberhasilan dari program ini terlihat dari aspek kebiasaan anak, dari kebiasaan bermain gadget digantikan dengan kegiatan membaca buku-buku yang menarik dan dengan adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan kedepannya anak-anak akan mulai menyadari betapa pentingnya membaca bagi keberlangsungan hidup atau masa depannya.

ABSTRAKLatar belakang pada penelitian ini berawal dari sebuah permasalahan yang terjadi terhadap anak yang beraktivitas di jalanan, anak jalanan adalah anak yang menghabiskan waktunya untuk mencari nafkah atau hidup di jalanan maupun tempat-tempat umum. Pelaksanaan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan teknik dalam pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, interview, dan analisis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk karakter religius pada anak jalanan dalam membiasakan mereka membaca Al-Qur’an. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter anak jalanan melalui penguatan religius di Kelurahan Jati Kecamatan Mayangan Kota Probolinggo melalui kegiatan mengaji dengan menggunakan metode iqro’ dapat merubah karakter anak yang awalnya menghabiskan waktu di jalanan menjadi meluangkan waktu untuk mengaji meskipun hanya beberapa menit saja.Kata Kunci: Pembentukan karakter, anak jalanan, religius

This study aims to examine the application of the Syawir method in a pesantren institution among the students (santri). The students at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School are highly enthusiastic about mastering the study of fiqh, which sparked the researcher’s interest in further investigating the method used in fiqh learning. This research is a field study, specifically descriptive qualitative research, designed to describe the implementation of the Syawir method in fiqh learning using the *Fathul Qorib* book at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the head, administrators, class supervisors, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the students at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School in Probolinggo have applied the Syawir method in learning fiqh from the *Fathul Qorib* book. This method has improved the students' understanding of the fiqh material, which they initially struggled with. The method not only enhances their comprehension of the material but also fosters their social and critical thinking skills, helping them to solve complex problems. This method is implemented to achieve the goal of engaging in effective discussions (musyawarah) before progressing to the next level.

Sosiologi merupakan suatu studi terhadap bidang pendidikan yang mengarah pada pemahaman hubungan antara sosiologi yaitu masyarakat dan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pendidikan agama Islam dari sudut pandang pendekatan sosiologis. Peran penting pendidikan agama islam terhadap lingkungan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research), diikuti dengan analisis dan penyajian objektif hasil temuan data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan variasi perspektif terhadap pendidikan agama Islam dalam konteks sosiologis, sejalan dengan keragaman umum dalam kajian sosiologi. Keberagaman ini menandakan pentingnya pendekatan sosiologis dalam memahami agama, terutama karena banyak ajaran agama yang terkait dengan isu-isu sosial. Perhatian agama terhadap masalah sosial mendorong mereka untuk memahami ilmu-ilmu sosial sebagai sarana untuk memahami ajaran agama. Pendekatan sosiologis terhadap agama mempermudah pemahaman, terutama bagi mereka yang belum terlalu familiar, karena mengakui bahwa pendidikan agama islam turut dipengaruhi oleh kepentingan sosial, seperti relevansi dalam masyarakat, persaudaraan, perdamaian, dan toleransi.

The purpose of this research is to understand the concept of character education thought according to Ki Hajar Dewantara and the role of PAI teachers in its formation, with the purpose of applying it in the context of contemporary education faced with various challenges of values and morals. This research uses a qualitative approach, through library research, by collecting books on Ki Hajar Dewantara as primary sources, as well as journals and articles as secondary sources. This data is then analyzed to reach a conclusion. The restriction of this research focuses on Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts related to character education, especially superior character and the concept of an ideal PAI teacher. The results show that Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts on character education emphasize maximum efforts in building and strengthening personality, while teachers act as facilitators and examples in shaping character. This study describes the development process of Ki Hajar Dewantara's thought, explains its relevance to current conditions, and analyzes its relevance to the role of PAI teachers. The implementation of this thought is expected to bring society towards a better life.

The application of the Jigsaw Method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Learning at SMAN 1 Sumberasih is an innovation to empower the learning process. This method aims to encourage student cooperation, develop social skills, and deepen understanding of PAI material. The teacher divides students into small groups with the task of studying certain parts of the material, such as the pillars of prayer, prayer procedures, and the importance of prayer in Islam. Students become experts in the part studied and rejoin a new group consisting of members from each original group. In this new group, they share knowledge, encourage collaboration, and learn from each other. Basically the Jigsaw Method involves dividing learning material into small parts which are then given to groups of students. Each group will be responsible for studying a specific section of the material. After understanding the material well, each group member will return to their original group and teach the part they have learned to other group members. PAI learning using the Jigsaw method does not only focus on mastering the material, but also develops social aspects and skills that are important in everyday life. . This creates a dynamic learning atmosphere, motivates students to be actively involved, and increases their understanding of Islamic teachings and their application in everyday life.

This study aims to strengthen several aspects of religious character in children through the learning method of reading the Ummi Al-Qur'an. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis of a number of children who participated in learning to read the Qur'an with the Ummi method in private homes. In addition, data were also obtained from parents or guardians of students, teaching teachers, and related literature. The results showed that learning to read the Qur'an with the Ummi method in private homes has a positive influence on strengthening children's religious character in Probolinggo City. This approach not only emphasizes on fluent reading skills, but also on deep understanding and full application of Islamic teaching. This approach has proven effective in overcoming some of the obstacles that arise in the process of learning the Qur'an, such as difficulties in reciting fluently, lack of understanding of religious material, lack of motivation, and lack of knowledge about religious aspects. This research makes a positive contribution to the development of Qur'an learning methods that focus more on strengthening children's religious character in the family environment.
