Penelitian dilakukan mengikuti pedoman Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). This study aimed to evaluate the impact of privacy policies on electronic medical record management in hospitals through a systematic literature review. The review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Articles were identified from the PubMed and Google Scholar databases using the Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome (PICO) framework. Following the selection process, six articles met the inclusion criteria and were included in the review. The findings showed that privacy policies played an important role in improving data security and confidentiality, strengthening access control, and supporting health information governance. The effectiveness of policy implementation was influenced by healthcare workers' compliance, organizational governance, and information security technologies. Therefore, strengthening privacy policy implementation through improved human resource capacity, organizational governance, and information security technologies is essential to support secure, effective, and sustainable electronic medical record management.
