Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding among students about Pancasila material as a value of life, thus requiring effective teaching media. The purpose of this research is to determine the development of digital comic media on Pancasila material as a value of life for fourth-grade students at Muhammadiyah Elementary School Pangkalpinang, which is valid, practical, and effective. This research uses the Research & Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out through interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The research subjects consisted of teachers and 25 fourth-grade students from Muhammadiyah Elementary School Pangkalpinang. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using quantitative and qualitative descriptions. Based on the assessment from material experts, an average score of 92.5% (very valid) was obtained, and from media experts, a score of 82.5% (very valid) was obtained. The results of the small group product trials show a practicality level with an average score of 94.6% categorized as (very practical) and a large group trial with an average score of 91.1% also categorized as (very practical). The effectiveness test used, namely N Gain, yielded a result of 96%. This means that there is an improvement in student learning outcomes after being treated with the use of digital comics. This indicates that the treatment provided has effectiveness with an effective criterion in enhancing learning outcomes.
