Abstract

This study aims to develop digital multimedia-based learning media using PowerPoint for the Creative Products and Entrepreneurship (PKWU) subject for Grade X students at SMAN 4 West Sumatra, and to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed media. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which encompasses Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. During the analysis phase, data regarding learning needs were gathered through observations and interviews with teachers and students. The development phase involved media and subject matter experts who assessed validity using questionnaires. The implementation phase was conducted with 35 Grade X students to test practicality via student response questionnaires and effectiveness through comprehension tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods based on assessment result percentages. The results indicate that the media achieved a validity level of 97.33% (categorized as highly valid), a practicality level of 93.30% (highly practical), and an effectiveness level of 91.86% based on test results. Consequently, the PowerPoint-assisted digital multimedia learning media is deemed valid, practical, and effective for supporting Grade X PKWU instruction. This media offers an alternative learning approach that is more interactive and engaging for students.
