Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the outing class method on the motivation to learn Pancasila education in grade VII students at the UPTD SPF SMP Negeri 1 Bergas, Semarang Regency. The research method used is a quantitative quasi-experimental design approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population included all grade VII students, totaling 323 students, while the sample was taken using a cluster random sampling technique that divided students into an experimental class (VII C) and a control class (VII E), each consisting of 36 students. Data collection on learning motivation was carried out using a questionnaire instrument consisting of 50 statements. The data analysis technique to test the hypothesis used the independent sample t-test statistical test through the SPSS 27 for Windows application. The results of the study showed a clear increase in learning motivation, where the average posttest score of the experimental class reached 93, while the control class was only 65. Based on the hypothesis test, the t-test value was 41.209, which was greater than the t-table of 1.994 at a significance level of 5%, so that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence of the implementation of the outing class method on increasing student learning motivation in the Pancasila Education subject at SMP Negeri 1 Bergas. This method has proven effective in creating an interactive, concrete, and contextual learning atmosphere for students.
