Abstract

Primary school-age children are a vulnerable group who may experience health problems if their micronutrient needs are not adequately met. A common problem that often occurs is that these children often do not fully understand the importance of vitamins C and E, which are essential for maintaining their immune system. Lack of understanding can lead to an increased risk of infection, decreased fitness conditions, and disruptions to learning activities at school. The purpose of this student service activity is carried out as an effort to increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of consuming vitamin C and vitamin E. The method used is health education through counseling and interactive discussions, complemented by measuring the level of knowledge using pre-test and post-test. This activity involved 33 students from SDN 064960. The results showed an increase in the level of student knowledge after education was given, which was shown by the increase in the percentage of students from 24% on the pre-test test to 67% on the post-test as well as a decrease in the category of sufficient and insufficient knowledge. The conclusion of this activity shows that health education about the benefits of vitamin C and vitamin E is effective in increasing students' knowledge and awareness, so it is important to be implemented in a sustainable manner as a promotive and preventive effort in maintaining children's immunity.
