Abstract

Public information disclosure is a key principle of transparent and accountable governance, as mandated by Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure. Local governments are required to provide information that is easily accessible to the public while ensuring that information management complies with applicable regulations. In this context, administrative assistants play a strategic role due to their direct involvement in managing documents, archives, and information services within the government. This study aims to analyze the role of administrative assistants in realizing public information disclosure within the Pidie Regency Secretariat and to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder the execution of this role. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data will be gathered through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis involving informants selected via purposive sampling—specifically administrative assistants, division heads, and relevant officials. Data analysis will utilize the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the administrative assistant's role in supporting public information disclosure and to offer recommendations for the local government to enhance transparency and accountability in governance
