Abstract

This article aims to examine human nature through various approaches in psychology, with a particular emphasis on the psychoanalytic perspective. The study employs a library research method using a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that human nature, from a psychological standpoint, is understood as relatively stable patterns of behavior, thoughts, and emotions. The psychoanalytic approach developed by Sigmund Freud highlights the role of the unconscious mind, intrapsychic conflicts, and childhood experiences in shaping personality. Although this approach has been criticized for its limited empirical basis, its contribution remains significant in understanding the inner dynamics of human beings and the development of modern personality theories.
