Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the influence of Strengths-Based Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior among government employees, with Organizational Identification serving as a mediating factor. A causal research design and a quantitative methodology were utilized. Civil servants in Indragiri Hilir Regency received the structured questionnaire, which used a seven-point Likert scale to gather data. Purposeful sampling was used to ascertain the sample, and 155 participants were found. Using SmartPLS, a PLS-SEM approach was applied to conduct data analysis. It has been demonstrated that Strengths-Based Leadership significantly influences both organizational identity and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Additionally, Organizational Identification has a statistically significant and good impact on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The results also show that Organizational Identification serves as a mediator between Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Strengths-Based Leadership. This research makes a theoretical contribution by strengthening the part played by strengths-based leadership in boosting extra-role conduct through psychological processes. In practice, the results imply that public sector organizations should use strength-oriented leadership methods to boost employee performance and total organizational efficacy.

Abstract

This research looks into the impact of technostress on the work-family conflict faced by 154 civil servants in the financial units of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in Indragiri Hilir Regency, positioning digital literacy as the mediating variable and based in Hobfoll's Conservation of Resources theory proposed in 1989. The main goal is to comprhend the social and psychological dynamics involved in digital changes within the public sector, where technostress develops into a major stressor stemming from the utilization of tools like SIPD and e-budgeting. Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique, the data in this study were processed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS version 4.0 software, while the questionnaire items were adapted from the instrument developed by Tarafdar et al. (2007), Eshet-Alkalai (2004), and Netemeyer et al. (1996), all passing validity and reliability tests. Key findings demonstrate that technostress significantly positively affects WFC (β=0.399; t=3.460), negatively impacts digital literacy (β=-0.600; t=6.730), and digital literacy negatively influences WFC (β=-0.449; t=3.826), featuring complementary partial mediation (indirect effect of 0.269). The main conclusion highlights that technostress poses risks to civil servants' psychological welfare and family equilibrium, whereas digital literacy serves as the strongest safeguard. Proposed suggestions involve strengthening digital literacy training initiatives and enforcing digital wellbeing guidelines to maintain a human-oriented approach in public sector digital transformation

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of budget efficiency on employee innovative work behavior, with self-directed learning as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis method, this study was conducted at a strategic agency within the local government. The results indicate that budget efficiency has a positive and significant influence on employee innovative work behavior. Furthermore, budget efficiency also has a positive effect on self-directed learning, indicating that resource constraints encourage employees to be more independent in developing their competencies. Self-directed learning was found to have a positive influence on innovative work behavior and acted as a significant mediator in this relationship. In conclusion, budget efficiency policies can stimulate innovation within the bureaucracy if supported by a strong culture of self-learning among employees as a compensatory mechanism for limited formal training

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of altruistic leadership on voice behavior and evaluate the mediating role of trust in the leader, considering the significance of voice behavior as a driver of innovation and organizational performance improvement. This study focuses on the impact of altruistic leadership on voice behavior through the mediation of trust in the leader among civil servants (ASN) in Indragiri Hilir Regency. To examine the causal relationship between variables, a quantitative approach with a causal design was used. The population consists of active civil servants, with a sample of 152 respondents selected using purposive sampling to include relevant elements. The main instrument was a questionnaire that measured respondents' perceptions of the variables of altruistic leadership, trust in the leader, and voice behavior. It was found that altruistic leadership positively and significantly influences both voice behavior and trust in the leader, with trust in the leader also positively influencing voice behavior. The key finding is that trust in the leader fully mediates the relationship between altruistic leadership and voice behavior, indicating that a leader's authentic altruistic behavior can only enhance employees' willingness to speak up when it successfully establishes a solid foundation of trust, acting as a psychological buffer against potential risks. The implications of these findings emphasize the urgency for organizations to develop altruism-based leadership as a foundational strategy to build trust, ultimately supporting a participatory and innovative culture. Abstract

In business and commercial activities, risks are inevitable, particularly the risk of bankruptcy. This risk is especially critical in the banking sector, which functions as a financial intermediary that collects funds from third parties (investors), including the public, companies, and government or private institutions, and redistributes these funds to parties in need of financing. Banks also engage in investment activities such as real estate and other sectors. Consequently, banks face potential risks in both the short and long term, particularly the risk of bankruptcy. Bankruptcy risk may arise from various factors, both internal and external. This risk applies to all sectors, whether managed by the government or private entities. In the private sector, indications of bankruptcy risk can significantly affect investor confidence in investing in bank shares, while the public may also become reluctant to deposit funds in such banks. Therefore, it is important to detect and minimize bankruptcy risk by analyzing financial conditions using bankruptcy prediction models such as the Altman Z-Score, Springate, and Zmijewski X-Score, as well as by examining the influence of CAMEL-based financial performance on these three models. This study employs a quantitative research approach using secondary data obtained from the financial statements of the sampled banks. The analysis aims to identify bankruptcy risk indicators in bank financial reports through the calculation of bankruptcy scores and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that CAMEL performance has a significant effect on the indication of bankruptcy risk, although the level of significance varies across banks and prediction models. These findings provide valuable evaluations and contributions for bank management and investors, and also offer theoretical and practical insights for academics conducting further research or collaborative studies to develop new scholarly work.

Abstract

Police organizations operate in high-risk, time-pressured environments that demand constant vigilance, professionalism, and rapid response to unpredictable situations. Such conditions make maintaining work-life balance challenging, especially due to long hours, shift systems, and exposure to critical incidents, which may lead to stress and burnout. This study examines the effect of collaborative culture on work-life balance, with knowledge management capability as a mediating variable among police officers. Using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM, data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed to assess direct and indirect relationships. The findings reveal that collaborative culture positively influences both knowledge management capability and work-life balance. Knowledge management capability also significantly affects work-life balance and partially mediates the relationship. These results highlight the importance of fostering collaboration and systematic knowledge sharing to enhance officers’ well-being and organizational effectiveness.
