Abstract

General Background: Institutional leadership plays a decisive role in driving organizational adaptation within dynamic educational environments. Specific Background: Early childhood education institutions undergoing government-mandated reforms require structured leadership adaptation to optimize curriculum execution and institutional standards. Knowledge Gap: However, empirical assessments regarding the operationalization and systemic outcome of innovative principal leadership within early childhood Movers School frameworks remain limited. Aims: This qualitative case study evaluates the implementation, operational results, and institutional contributions of innovative principal leadership at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Bebekan. Results: Findings reveal that the principal operationalized transformational behaviors by embedding eight specific leadership indicators, successfully advancing curriculum modification, data-driven management, and institutional digitalization. Novelty: This study establishes a concrete multidimensional indicator framework for principal leadership tailored specifically to early childhood educational drive initiatives. Implications: Practically, these results offer an actionable blueprint for early childhood administrators to optimize school quality, technological integration, and stakeholder engagement. Abstract

In the digital era, educational institutions face severe market competition and structural policy changes, requiring strategic adaptation to maintain institutional sustainability. However, private Islamic elementary schools often struggle with limited visibility, intense local competition, and ineffective student enrollment strategies. This study aims to analyze educational marketing innovations, competitive challenge strategies, and marketing effectiveness in boosting student enrollment at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Pandaan. Applying a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected via interviews, observations, and documentation, the study highlights marketing innovations including social media utilization, unique program offerings such as the Class International Program and Quranic boarding systems, alongside a streamlined single-day enrollment system. The findings demonstrate a significant increase in competitive standing and a substantial growth in student admissions over four consecutive academic years. Consequently, integrating multi-channel digital marketing with specialized academic-spiritual product differentiation presents a highly effective paradigm for educational institution sustainability. These findings offer practical frameworks for private primary schools to enhance market position and enrollment efficiency in competitive educational sectors. Structured internal human resource development combined with community-based branding effectively mitigates local competitive pressures. Abstract

General Background Character education within madrasahs plays an essential role in fostering individuals characterized by integrity, ethics, and responsibility. Specific Background This research investigates the role of the madrasah head in designing and implementing holistic character education programs at MTs Tarbiyatus Shibyan Guyangan Krucil Probolinggo. Knowledge Gap Previous literature lacks detailed qualitative insight into how specific leadership functions and scheduled religious activities are systematically coordinated by madrasah heads to instill core moral traits among students. Aims This study aims to explore the phenomena experienced by research subjects and describe the role of the madrasah head in student character development along with its resulting outcomes. Results The qualitative findings reveal that the madrasah head successfully formulates strategic policies and enforces consistency by engaging teachers as rotational prayer leaders, which actively instills three core student characters: religious, disciplined, and responsible. Novelty The direct integration of administrative policy formulation with active managerial oversight and rotational teacher-led spiritual practices constructs a cohesive framework for character cultivation. Implications These findings demonstrate that proactive madrasah head leadership serves as a foundational model for establishing a disciplined religious culture and moral resilience in Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

General Background The development of human resources in education requires strategic management to motivate educators and elevate institutional quality. Specific Background At MTs SA Tarbiyatus Shibyan Guyangan Krucil Probolinggo, the principal applies a transformational leadership model to support educational objectives and manage teaching staff. Knowledge Gap Despite recognizing this managerial importance, qualitative examinations detailing how specific transformational approaches optimize core pedagogical indicators within Islamic schools remain limited. Aims This study examines the implementation of transformational leadership and its direct role in optimizing educator capabilities at MTs SA Tarbiyatus Shibyan. Results Qualitative case study findings demonstrate that the principal successfully elevated educator capabilities across four primary domains: professional knowledge, professional duty execution, learning implementation, and student outcome assessment. The principal facilitates training programs, encourages proactive decision-making involvement, supports digital technology integration, and promotes holistic evaluation methods. Novelty This research explicitly maps the multi-dimensional correlation between transformational leadership actions such as forming collaborative teaching teams and tangible pedagogical improvements in a targeted religious institution. Abstract

General Background Education functions to develop human resources and establish moral character to counter the moral challenges of the globalization era. Specific Background Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sunan Kalijaga Krucil actively builds a religious environment through routine spiritual activities and strong leadership coordination. Knowledge Gap Despite recognizing general leadership roles, the specific interactive strategies and communication models utilized by principals to construct this religious culture require comprehensive analysis. Aims This research analyzes the communication patterns applied by the madrasah headmaster to shape religious culture. Results Qualitative analysis involving observation, interviews, and documentation reveals that the headmaster implements an open and inclusive communication pattern. This strategy includes providing direct exemplary modeling in daily worship, facilitating interactive dialogues through regular meetings, and developing structured religious programs such as congregational prayers and Quranic memorization. Furthermore, this communication approach actively involves parents and the surrounding community to create a holistic learning center. Novelty The study elucidates a comprehensive communication framework that seamlessly integrates direct spiritual role-modeling with community-wide inclusive dialogue within an educational institution. Implications These findings provide a practical guide for educational practitioners and school leaders to strengthen interactive strategies in establishing sustainable religious environments. Abstract

General Background: Islamic boarding schools face growing competition, making parents’ trust an important consideration in selecting and continuing children’s education. Specific Background: At PP Darul Ulum Tlasih, trust is associated with educational quality, institutional image, programs, achievements, and educational services. Knowledge Gap: Previous research specifically examining educational quality and institutional image in relation to santri guardians’ trust remains limited. Aims: This study analyzes the relationships of educational quality and brand image with brand trust among santri guardians. Results: Using quantitative methods, questionnaires from 50 respondents, and multiple linear regression, both variables showed positive and significant partial relationships with brand trust; jointly, they explained 87% of its variation, with educational quality as the stronger predictor. Novelty: The study examines these two predictors together in the context of PP Darul Ulum Tlasih. Implications: Maintaining educational quality and a positive, credible institutional image is important for sustaining santri guardians’ trust. Key Findings Highlights The first predictor showed the strongest statistical contribution to guardians’ trust. The second predictor showed a positive and significant statistical relationship. Abstract

General Background: Muhammadiyah pesantren play an important role in preparing Islamic preachers and organizational cadres. Specific Background: Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Al-Munawwaroh develops Muhammadiyah dai cadres through leadership, education, discipline, public speaking, religious practice, and organizational activities. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have examined mudir leadership and pesantren cadre development, but this study focuses specifically on Muhammadiyah dai cadre formation through the mudir’s leadership style. Aims: This study analyzes the leadership style of the mudir and the profile of Muhammadiyah dai graduates. Results: The leadership style is legal-formal-charismatic, supported by clear organizational structures, direction, supervision, motivation, and role modeling. Seven graduates met the identified dai criteria. Novelty: The study connects this leadership style with systematic Muhammadiyah dai cadre formation. Implications: The findings support pesantren leadership and cadre development practices for preparing competent and active Muhammadiyah dai. Key Findings Highlights The mudir applies a legal-formal-charismatic leadership pattern. Seven graduates meet the identified Muhammadiyah dai qualifications. Cadre formation emphasizes discipline, public speaking, religious practice, and organizational participation.
