Abstract

Academic achievement is influenced by various factors, including physical fitness and learning motivation. This study aimed to examine the relationship between physical fitness, learning motivation, and the academic achievement of eleventh-grade students at MAN 1 Tuban. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The study involved 98 students selected through proportional random sampling. Physical fitness was assessed using the Tes Kebugaran Pelajar Nusantara (TKPN), learning motivation was measured using a questionnaire, and academic achievement data were obtained from students' final grades in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The results revealed that physical fitness had a very strong positive relationship with academic achievement (r = 0.966, p < 0.05), while learning motivation showed a positive and significant relationship with low correlation strength (r = 0.233, p < 0.05). Simultaneously, physical fitness and learning motivation demonstrated a very strong relationship with academic achievement (R = 0.966, R² = 0.934, p < 0.05). These findings indicate that improving students' academic achievement should be supported through the integrated development of physical fitness and the enhancement of learning motivation.
