Abstract

This research was motivated by the low student learning outcomes in Theme 8 “Praja Muda Karana,” where only 36.3% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), while 63.7% had not yet met the criteria, caused by teacher-centered learning and the lack of engaging learning media. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of flash card media. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with 11 third-grade students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the use of flash card media improved student learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in average scores and the percentage of learning mastery in each cycle, as well as increased student activeness and motivation in the learning process. Therefore, flash card media is effective in improving student learning outcomes in thematic learning of Theme 8. Keywords: learning outcomes, flash card, thematic learning, Classroom Action Research.
