Abstract

The issue identified by the researcher at Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Besuki Kindergarten is a lack of discipline among the children; examples include leaving bags in random places, littering, failing to arrange shoes neatly, not queuing while washing hands, and neglecting to tidy up their writing supplies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of habituation practices designed to foster discipline in children aged 4–5 years (Group A) at Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Besuki Kindergarten. Discipline in early childhood serves as a fundamental basis for developing future responsibility and independence. The study employs a qualitative method. Data collection was conducted through structured observation, in-depth interviews with classroom teachers, and documentation of activities. The habituation method is integrated into the learning curriculum and daily activities, grounded in Islamic values. Evaluation results indicate that the habituation method is effective in enhancing children's discipline, particularly regarding time management, acts of worship, and moral conduct. Teacher consistency serves as a key supporting factor, while differing approaches to discipline within the home environment act as a hindering factor
