Community service activities through the “Gemar Makan dan Kenali Ikan” (Love Eating Fish and Get to Know Fish) socialization program were conducted to increase elementary school students’ knowledge of fish species, nutritional content, and the benefits of fish consumption, as well as to introduce the maritime potential of the Riau Islands. The activity was conducted at SDN 004 Bintan Utara and involved 72 fourth-grade students. The method used was interactive education through material delivery, question-and-answer sessions, discussions, educational games, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The evaluation results showed that the students’ average scores increased from 67.92 in the pre-test to 84.17 in the post-test, representing an increase of 16.25 points. The N-Gain analysis resulted in a score of 0.51, which falls into the moderate category. These results indicate that the “Gemar Makan dan Kenali Ikan” socialization program can improve students’ knowledge of fish species, nutritional content, and the benefits of fish consumption. The activity also introduced students to the diversity of local fisheries resources in the Riau Islands. Therefore, “Gemar Makan dan Kenali Ikan” can serve as an educational approach to increasing students’ knowledge of fish and maritime resources from an early age in a sustainable and enjoyable manner.
