Abstract

This study investigates the concept and mention of the word meaning Mother in the Quran with thematic interpretation studies. Thematic interpretation has the advantage of comprehensively revealing terms and discourses in the Quran. This research is based on library research that relies on the term Mother in the Qur'an, by collecting all the verses that connote the meaning of Mother, namely the word al-umm, al-walidah which is found in the mention of 39 times. A simple question, how to know the characteristics of the mother in the perspective of thematic tafsir . The figure of the mother has always been an interesting thing to study because of her very noble status. The Quran as a holy book also provides a complete explanation of the figure, the privileges of a mother. Based on the discussion conducted, the factors that support the virtue of a mother arise from the role of mothers who directly have physical contact with children so as to create a strong emotional connection between mother and child. In addition, several stories of mothers in the Qur'an such as the story of Moses' mother and Maryam's mother also support the virtues that arise from a mother. The Qur'an describes it with the mother's inner instinct of worry and anxiety when a child is separated from his mother and also the hope of salvation for the soul of the child and his offspring through the mustajab prayer of a mother.

Abstract

Abstract In the study of moral beliefs, knowing angels is the second thing that is usually explained by scholars after introducing the chapter on moral beliefs to Allah Ta'ala. By nature, angels are creatures that are invisible or supernatural. So, the first capital in knowing angels is to believe in them, which is part of the pillars of faith of Muslims. The aim of this research is of course for us to know and recognize angels from the source of the Koran and the interpretations of interpretive scholars. By knowing angels, a Muslim's faith increases and can also motivate a Muslim to always do good deeds. This writing method uses literature study, which the author took from various journals and books of interpretation. Of the many verses about angels, the author includes the first verse in the composition of the Al-Quran manuscripts which explains angels. To sharpen it, he added verses about other angels. Various tasks are mandated by Allah Ta'ala to angels, such as chanting tahmid, tasbih and so on. So, there is also one of the characteristics of angels that Allah Ta'ala created that can influence humans so that they tend to do good. Keywords : Angel, Interpretation, Thematic, Belief, Morality
