Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine efforts to improve motor skills through the art of folding origami in class I students at GMIH DAEO Elementary School. The type of research used in this research is the Classroom Action Research method which we know as PTK (Classroom Action Research). This research consists of two cycles and in general, there are four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation (acting), (3) observation (observing), and (4) reflection (reflecting). Based on data analysis and discussion, the conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that there are 2 students (13%) who have reached the assessment standards, who are developing according to expectations, 5 students (33%) are starting to develop, 8 students (54%) are not yet developing, of all 15 students. Then in cycle 1 students who had fine motor skills with assessment standards developed according to expectations increasing to 6 students (40%), 3 students (20%) started to develop, 6 students (40%) had not yet developed and in cycle II they developed as expected. 7 students (47%), starting to develop 5 students (33%) not yet developing 3 student (20%).
