Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in Science, focusing on the topic "Human Senses," through the use of instructional teaching aids. Conducted with fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pulau Morotai during the 2022/2023 academic year, the study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and evaluation tests, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The study's results show a significant increase in students' interest and learning outcomes, marked by an improvement in class mastery from 58.3% in Cycle I to 68.3% in Cycle II, and individual mastery rates rising from 87% to 90%. Based on these findings, the use of teaching aids in science lessons effectively enhances students' engagement and understanding. This research recommends that teachers be more active and creative in utilizing teaching aids to improve the quality of learning.
