Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal level of employee productivity, which is presumed to be influenced by work life balance and job stress. The research problem focuses on whether work life balance and job stress affect employee productivity at the Land Office of Medan City, both partially and simultaneously. This study aims to analyze the effect of work life balance and job stress on employee productivity. This research uses a quantitative method with a random sampling technique. The number of samples in this study is 63 respondents. The variables were measured using a Likert scale. The tests conducted include validity test, reliability test, and classical assumption tests consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, and multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was carried out using t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. The results show that partially, work life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, while job stress has a negative and not significant effect on employee productivity. Simultaneously, work life balance and job stress have a significant effect on employee productivity.
