Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect and interactions that occur between teaching materials by wingeom and early mathematics abilities on student’ mathematical understanding skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental researh. The population in this study were students class VIII of MTsN Danau Kerinci which numberrer 5  classes. The sample was selected using simple random sampling techniques, there was class VIIIA as the experimental class and class VIIIB as the control class. The research design used was the posttest only control group design. During the research, the experimental class was treated with learning  by wingeom teaching material, while the control class was treated with conventional learning. The technique of collecting data through a test of mathematical understanding skills was anilyzed using two-way ANOVA. The result are (1) there is a difference between students’ mathematical understanding ability base on the teaching materials, Fcount=4,982 Fα=4,12   (2) there isa difference between students’ mathematical understanding ability viewed from early mathematics ability (high, medium, an low categories),  Fhitung=29,315 Fα=3,27 (3) an interaction between the teaching materials and the student categories with early mathematics ability, Fhitung=-0,4 Fα=3,27Keywords : Mathematical Understanding Ability, Teaching materials by wingeom, Early Mathematics Ability

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan diseminasi) untuk menyusun Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis graphmatica pada materi fungsi kuadrat. Penggunaan graphmatica bermaksud untuk membantu proses pembelajaran ilustrasi grafis pada materi fungsi kuadrat. Subyek penelitian adalah guru matematika dan peserta didik kelas X SMA. Lembar validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi, angket respon guru dan peserta didik, angket observasi peserta didik dan lembar observasi digunakan sebagai alat penelitian. Hasil validasi LKPD oleh validator media menunjukkan kategori baik dan validator materi dengan kategori sangat baik sehingga LKPD layak untuk diujicobakan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa rata-rata persentase persepsi peserta didik terhadap hasil angket adalah 91,18%, artinya LKPD berbasis graphmatica pada materi fungsi kuadrat efektif untuk digunakan karena memberikan peluang kepada peserta didik untuk membentuk sendiri pengetahuan dan soal-soal yang disusun dapat digunakan untuk tes yang menggunakan TIK pada fungsi kuadrat. Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bimbingan belajar kepada anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Wanita Muhammadiyah Kota Sungai Banyak serta membantu anak-anak untuk dapat mengulang materi yang dipelajari di sekolah. Jumlah peserta PKM terdiri dari 21 mahasiswa. Diantaranya adalah 4 siswa SD, 10 siswa SMP, 5 siswa SMA, dan 2 siswa yang sedang mempersiapkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan bimbingan belajar bagi siswi di Panti Asuhan Sungai Bawah Putri Aisyiyah mendapat respon yang baik dari Ketua Yayasan Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu Muhammadiyah Putri Sungai Banyak dan anak-anak asuh sangat antusias dalam mengikuti proses selama bimbingan berlangsung. Setelah bimbingan belajar dilaksanakan sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan maka anak asuh (siswa) mampu memahami materi yang diberikan, menyelesaikan soal dengan baik dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar.   Kata kunci: bimbingan belajar, panti asuhan   Abstract  This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to provide study guidance to children in the Muhammadiyah women's orphanage in Sungai Banyak City as well as helping children to be able to repeat the material learned at school. The number of PKM participants consists of 21 students. Among them are 4 elementary school students, 10 middle school students, 5 high school students, and 2 students who are preparing to study at university. The implementation method consists of 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The tutoring activity for female students at the Sungai Bawah Putri Aisyiyah Orphanage received a good response from the Chairman of the Sungai Banyak Orphanage Muhammadiyah Putri Orphanage Foundation and the foster children were very enthusiastic in participating in the process while the tutoring was carried out. After the tutoring is carried out according to the predetermined schedule, the foster children (students) are able to understand the material provided, solve questions well and increase student motivation in learning. Keywords: Tutoring, Orphanage.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop multimedia teaching materials based on PBL using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material, and determine the effectiveness of PBL-based multimedia teaching materials using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material. This research is a development research with the research process using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with individual test subjects, namely 2 mathematics teachers, small group trial subjects consisted of 6 students, and large group trials namely students of XIPA2 class of SMAN 5 Jambi City. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires for evaluating material experts and media experts, teacher and student responses questionnaires, student perception questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests.From the results of the post-test analysis conducted at the end of the learning activities obtained 90.32% of the students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, the results of the analysis of the student perception questionnaire showed the category of "very positive" besides based on observations of students' attitudes during the learning process positive and high enthusiasm in participating in learning activities. This means that multimedia teaching materials that are made effective are used for the learning process. Abstract

Purpose: The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning, has created new opportunities for enhancing learning in mathematics and physics education. This study aims to develop and modify a deep learning based chatbot model to improve students’ conceptual understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, including calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations, which are widely applied in physics-related learning at the undergraduate level. Method: This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach consisting of needs analysis, model design, implementation, and evaluation stages. The chatbot was developed by integrating deep learning algorithms with natural language processing (NLP) and domain-specific mathematical training datasets. The implementation involved undergraduate students at STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure conceptual understanding, student questionnaires to examine learning motivation and usability, and expert validation to assess content validity and pedagogical suitability. Quantitative data were analyzed using normalized gain scores and paired statistical testing, while qualitative feedback was examined descriptively. Findings: The results show that the modified chatbot significantly improved students’ conceptual understanding of advanced mathematical concepts compared to conventional learning approaches. Students demonstrated higher learning gains and increased motivation, particularly due to the chatbot’s ability to provide contextual feedback, step-by-step problem-solving assistance, and adaptive learning support. Expert evaluations confirmed the practicality and educational relevance of the developed chatbot. Significance: This study demonstrates that AI-powered chatbots can function as effective supplementary learning tools in higher education mathematics. By bridging advanced mathematical content with physics-related applications, the chatbot supports independent learning and contributes to the development of intelligent educational technologies for complex STEM subjects.
