Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Mindfulness and spiritual leadership on student engagement at the Vimuttara Jambi Buddhist Sunday School (SMB). The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of 110 students, selected via simple random sampling. The research variables comprise Mindfulness (X₁), spiritual leadership (X₂), and student engagement (Y). Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that met validity and reliability standards. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, prerequisite analysis tests, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that Mindfulness has a positive effect on student engagement, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.756 and a contribution of 57.1%. Spiritual leadership also positively influences student engagement, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.658 and a contribution of 43.3%. Simultaneously, Mindfulness and spiritual leadership contribute 71.6% to student engagement (R = 0.846). These findings suggest that enhancing student Mindfulness and implementing spiritual leadership within the school can increase student engagement in the learning process.
