Abstract

This study analyses the vibration characteristics of a mixing and briquette molding machine and the effect of frame geometry conditions on its dynamic response based on experimental measurements. This research aims to evaluate the vibration level caused by structural geometric misalignment. The methods used include vibration measurements using a vibration tester at critical points of the machine frame and flatness measurements using a spirit level. Vibration amplitude is determined from the maximum displacement at each point and measurement direction. The results show that the highest amplitude occurs at point 4 in the vertical direction, reaching 0.1027 mm, while the lowest amplitude is found at point 2 in the axial direction, measuring 0.0427 mm. The dominance of vertical vibration indicates the influence of gravitational forces and frame misalignment. Vibration amplitude varies with the position of measurement points relative to dynamic load sources and structural stiffness. No resonance is observed, indicating that the vibrations are forced vibrations caused by system imbalance. Flatness deviations of 0.0073 mm (horizontal) and 0.152 mm (axial) contribute to increased vibration amplitude, confirming that frame geometry significantly affects vibration levels.
