The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed learning processes in vocational education, including vocational high schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan SMKs) specializing in beauty and cosmetology. Traditional classroom-based instruction has increasingly evolved into the use of digital learning platforms that provide more engaging and contextually relevant learning experiences. This study was conducted to examine the role of digital learning in vocational high schools as a medium for fostering the entrepreneurial mindset of beauty and cosmetology students. The research employed a qualitative quasi-experimental approach with an exploratory descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving five vocational high school teachers as key informants and were analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The findings indicate that engagement with digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok substantially enhances students’ creativity by expanding access to learning resources and strengthening their entrepreneurial mindset. Students are not only trained to develop beauty and cosmetology skills but are also encouraged to utilize social media for promoting services and building personal brands. Furthermore, digital learning is perceived as a beneficial practice that bridges instructional content with the demands of an increasingly digitalized environment in the beauty industry. However, challenges remain, particularly in relation to disparities in digital literacy levels and students’ dependence on assistance when utilizing technology. Overall, digital learning platforms have fostered creativity, innovation, and comprehensive competencies that support vocational beauty and cosmetology students in developing practical and contextually relevant entrepreneurial capabilities.
