Abstract

APPLİCATİON OF SEMİ-AUTOMATİC CRACKER CUTTİNG MACHİNE AND MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENTS TO INCREASE PRODUCTİVİTY OF CRACKER PRODUCERS İN SİDOARJO. This PKM partner is a cracker SME “UD. SETUM JAYA” belongs to M. Faisol Hidayat, whose address is at Tlasih village, Tulangan sub-district, Sidoarjo district. The production capacity of this partner SME is ± 400 kg/day. The purpose of implementing PKM is to help solve priority problems in the production and management aspects of Mitra cracker SMEs. The priority problem in the production aspect is the low productivity of cracker cutting and the problem in the management aspect is production management and financial management that have not been managed properly. The process of cutting crackers in partner SMEs is done manually, the average production capacity is ± 100 crackers / minute, the quality of the products cut is not uniform, some are too thick and some are too thin. To solve the problem of the low priority of the quality and quantity of cracker cutting production, it is done through the application of a semi-automatic cracker cutting machine which has 6 blades mounted on a mechanical rotating disc of an electric motor. This cracker cutting machine has a production capacity of at least 1,376 crackers/minute, so that it can increase the production capacity of cutting crackers by ± 14 times compared to manual cutting of ± 100 pieces/minute. Meanwhile, to solve the problems of production management and financial management of partner cracker SMEs, this is done through training and assistance on how to organize the production environment, production process flow, preparation of raw materials and application of machines for production activities and to solve financial management problems, this is done by recording business financial flows using books. simple cash. The results of the implementation of this PKM program are: (1) a semi-automatic mechanical electric motor cracker cutting machine, and (2) changes in the production management and financial management of partner cracker SMEs that are better according to the training.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the quality of basic mechanical engineering learning at Sekolah Indonesia Davao (SID) through the application of innovative and effective learning media. SID has limited access to basic mechanical engineering learning materials, and there is no media that makes it easier to understand the material. To overcome this problem, the community service activity implementation team implemented basic engineering learning media aimed for junior high and high school levels. The implementation methods included identifying partner problems, determining solutions, implementing media, monitoring, and compiling reports. The results of the implementation of this activity showed that the basic mechanical engineering learning media has been handed over to the partner on May 28, 2024, and training on how to operate the media has been carried out. This activity also received a positive response from the partner, because it made a significant contribution to improving the understanding and skills of students at SID in the field of mechanical engineering, as well as strengthening cooperation between Surabaya State University and SID in the field of education.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasi produktivitas dan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan pertanian, dengan Mesin Tanam Padi Elektrik dan Sprayer Otomatis sebagai salah satu langkah strategis untuk membantu Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur I dalam menyelesaikan masalah saat musin tanam tiba. Metode pelaksanaannya dimulai dengan observasi terhadap kondisi lapangan, dilanjutkan dengan diskusi untuk merumuskan rencana, dilaksanakan pelatihan kepada anggota Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur I, dan terakhir dilakukan evaluasi. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur I yang beranggotakan 15 petani. Hasil dari satu hektar sawah dengan penggunaan mesin tanam padi elektrik mampu menggantikan tenaga kerja manual, mengurangi kebutuhan tenaga kerja dari 25 orang menjadi 8 orang, dan meningkatkan efisiensi proses penanaman dari semula 8 jam mampu menjadi 5 jam. Selain itu, penggunaan sprayer otomatis juga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dalam penyemprotan pestisida. Di samping penerapan teknologi, peningkatan manajemen kelompok tani menjadi solusi kunci dalam pembukuan yang baik memungkinkan kelompok tani untuk melacak pengeluaran dan pendapatan secara lebih akurat sehingga mempermudah dalam perencanaan keuangan dan pengambilan keputusan ekonomi. Application of Electric Rice Planting Machines and Automatic Sprayers as well as group management in optimizing the productivity of the Sido Makmur I Farmer Group This service aims to optimize productivity and efficiency in agricultural management, with Electric Rice Planting Machines and Automatic Sprayers as one of the strategic steps to help the Sido Makmur I Farmer Group in solving problems when the planting season arrives. The implementation method begins with observation of field conditions, followed by discussions to formulate plans, training is carried out for members of the Sido Makmur I Farmers Group, and finally an evaluation is carried out. The partner in this service is the Sido Makmur I Farmers Group, which consists of 15 farmers. The results from one hectare of rice fields using an electric rice planting machine can replace manual labor, reduce the need for labor from 25 people to 8 people, and increase the efficiency of the planting process from 8 hours to 5 hours. Apart from that, using an automatic sprayer can also increase efficiency in spraying pesticides. In addition to the application of technology, improving farmer group management is a key solution in good bookkeeping, enabling farmer groups to track expenses and income more accurately, making financial planning and economic decision making easier.
