Abstract

his study aims to explore students’ perceptions toward English songs as a learning media of listening comprehension. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method involving second-semester megarezky eEuniversity students. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews focusing on cognitive, affective, and conative aspects of perception. The findings revealed that students had positive perceptions of English songs as a learning medium. Cognitively, students found that English songs helped them improve vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening comprehension. Affectively, students felt more motivated, relaxed, and interested during the learning process. Conatively, students showed willingness to use English songs as an alternative learning media both inside and outside the classroom. In conclusion, English songs are perceived as an effective and engaging medium for enhancing students’ listening comprehension and learning motivation.
