Abstract

Advancements in digital technology demand healthcare services that are efficient, integrated, and easily accessible; however, their adoption in primary care clinics remains limited, resulting in manual service booking processes that lead to queues, delays, and reduced service quality. This gap highlights the need for a mobile application featuring a simple, functional UI/UX design and integrated health education features to support health promotion and disease prevention efforts. This study aimed to develop a UI/UX design prototype for a service-booking mobile application integrated with health education features for Dian Kusuma Wijaya Primary Care Clinic. A Research and Development (R&D) methodology was employed, comprising user needs assessment, design development, expert validation, and limited user testing using purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and pre-test/post-test instruments, then analyzed descriptively. Results showed an increase in user knowledge from 83% to 98%, with all respondents achieving a "good" rating in the post-test and 98% stating the application was very easy to use. Expert validation confirmed high alignment with usability and aesthetic principles. The findings indicate that the application prototype is viable and holds potential as a health promotion tool to support promotive and preventive efforts, particularly regarding hypertension control in primary healthcare settings.
