Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the traditional food sector face various challenges in business development, particularly in production capacity, financial management, marketing, and product packaging. These conditions were identified in Sari Ketan MSME in Ciwaruga Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency, which relied on simple production equipment, had not consistently implemented financial record-keeping, made limited use of digital marketing, and used non-food-grade packaging. The Community Partnership Program (PKM) was implemented to improve business productivity and financial literacy through training, practical activities, equipment provision, and mentoring in production, financial management, digital marketing, and packaging. The results showed increases in entrepreneurial competence from 20% to 80%, equipment adequacy from 50% to 80%, digital marketing activity from 50% to 80%, and production capacity from 20–25 to 35–40 units per day. Financial record-keeping increased from 20% to 50%, although the target was not achieved because its implementation remained inconsistent. The adoption of food-grade packaging and strengthened product identity also supported product presentation and marketing. Challenges related to raw-material availability and access to formal financing continued to affect business development. The findings indicate that integrated interventions addressing production capacity, financial management, marketing, and packaging can strengthen MSME management practices. Strengthening financial record-keeping, access to financing, and supply-chain management remains important for sustaining business development.
