Abstract

This study analyzes the utilization of sosial media as a digital marketing strategy for Mixue outlets in Suraba-ya, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as assessing the impact on brand awareness and competitiveness. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation with eight informants, consisting of three internal outlet staff and five consum-ers. The results indicate that Mixue actively utilizes TikTok and Instagram, with TikTok serving as the domi-nant platform to engage consumers through promotional content and digital vouchers. The content manage-ment implements a "glocal marketing" approach, combining central management content with independent creative content from store crews. Supporting factors include routine Zoom coordination, strict SOPs, a solid team culture, and affordable pricing strategies. Inhibiting factors include stock shortages, discrepancies be-tween sosial media content and product reality, outlet-specific voucher systems, and internal outlet competi-tion. This digital marketing strategy significantly enhances brand awareness, purchasing decisions, and con-sumer loyalty, while organically driving user-generated content (UGC).

This study aims to explore the phenomenological experiences of customers towards the dimensions of Brand Equity which include brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty, as well as their influence on the formation of relational and transactional loyalty of Tomoro Coffee customers in Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative, interpretative phenomenological approach with data collection through in-depth semi-structured interviews. The research informants were four people selected by purposive sampling, consisting of one shop manager, one barista, and two regular customers of Tomoro Coffee in Surabaya. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing through source triangulation and reconfirmation with sources. The research findings identified six main themes in the formation of customer loyalty at Tomoro Coffee in Surabaya, namely brand awareness and recognition as the initial gateway to loyalty formed through social media, recommendations from others, and strategic store locations; brand associations that form a positive imagemodern, aesthetic, comfortable, and in line with urban lifestyles; perceived quality as a dominant factor that includes consistency of coffee taste, service quality, cleanliness, and comfort of the room; customer experience that creates an emotional bond, where the coffee shop is not just a place to buy drinks but a personally meaningful space; brand loyalty reflected in repeat purchasing behavior without the need to compare with competitors intensively; and brand recommendations and advocacy as the highest form of loyalty that encourages organic word-of-mouth promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how self-control and time management affect the level of mobile phone dependence among STIE IBMT students in the Class of 2024. Excessive mobile phone use can lead to decreased ability to focus while studying, decreased academic results, and ineffective time management. Therefore, it is important to understand the role of self-control as a person's ability to control impulses and behavior, as well as time management skills in planning and organizing daily activities effectively, thereby reducing the habit of excessive mobile phone use. This study uses a quantitative approach by conducting a survey. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 99 STIE IBMT students in the Class of 2024 students saturated sampling (census) technique. The research instrument used a Likert scale with four answer options. Data analysis was carried out by testing validity, reliability, classical assumptions, and using multiple linear regression analysis to determine the impact of each variable separately and simultaneously. This study shows that the ability to control oneself has a positive and significant impact on the level of mobile phone dependence. Time management can significantly influence the level of mobile phone addiction. Simultaneously, the ability to control oneself and manage time significantly influences the level of dependence on mobile phones among STIE IBMT students of the Class of 2024. This shows that the better a person's ability to control themselves and manage time, the less likely they are to become addicted to using mobile phones.
