Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the growth and development of the Canarium tree (Canarium ambonensis) over a six-month measurement period. Initial baseline data were obtained in January 2021, and final data were collected in July 2021. A quantitative method was employed by calculating the Mean Annual Increment (MAI), the Current Annual Increment (CAI), and describing the physiological development of Canarium ambonensis based on visual physiological characteristics. The results showed an increase in tree diameter every six months during the 7 to 8-year age period. The CAI for diameter growth during the eighth-year iteration period was 2.84 cm/tree/year, while the MAI for diameter growth was 2.30 cm/tree/year. For height growth, the CAI was 2.78 m/tree/year, with an MAI of 2.09 m/tree/year. In addition to the increase in height and diameter growth, there was also an advance in physiological development (flowering and fruiting) reaching 28 trees
