Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the influence of family education dynamics (consisting of parenting style, family communication, emotional closeness, and technological adaptation) on adolescent personality formation aged 15–18 years. Method: this study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 100 students aged 15–18 years at Madrasah Aliyah Hasyimiyah, Bungah, Gresik, selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. Findings: all dimensions of family education dynamics (parenting style, family communication, emotional closeness, and technological adaptation) have a positive and significant effect on adolescent personality formation. Among these variables, family communication is found to be the most dominant factor influencing adolescent personality formation. Implications: strengthening family education through democratic parenting, effective communication, emotional closeness, and digital adaptation is essential for supporting adolescents’ personality development. Originality: examining family education dynamics as an integrated system, including parenting style, family communication, emotional closeness, and technological adaptation, in shaping adolescent personality formation, particularly among adolescents aged 15–18 years in the context of modern digital challenges.
