Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of congregational prayer habituation in shaping the disciplined character of early childhood students at PAUD Tunas Harapan. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed. The subjects were teachers and students at PAUD Tunas Harapan, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that congregational prayer is conducted routinely three times a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) before learning activities begin. Observations of 15 six-year-old students revealed that 80% demonstrated significant improvement in discipline, evidenced by punctual attendance, adherence to queuing rules during ablution, and orderly prayer row arrangement. The habituation process comprises three stages: preparation (ablution), implementation (two-rak'ah prayer), and reinforcement (collective prayer and positive reinforcement through praise/stickers). Teachers serve as role models by demonstrating prayer movements, providing guidance, and offering positive reinforcement. The implications of this research suggest that consistent congregational prayer habituation, combined with age-appropriate approaches, serves as an effective integrative strategy for developing religious and disciplinary character from an early age, while providing practical contributions for PAUD institutions in designing value-based habituation programs. Consistent habituation accompanied by enjoyable approaches proves effective in developing disciplined character in early childhood
