Abstract

This research was motivated by the limited use of engaging methods and the lack of teacher creativity, which led to low participation of children in recognizing kalimat thayyibah (Islamic phrases). The aim of this study is to examine the implementation and effectiveness of the singing method in introducing kalimat thayyibah to children aged 5–6 years at TK Darussalam Pipitan. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research sample consisted of 15 children from class B2. The results showed that the singing method was effective in introducing kalimat thayyibah to early childhood learners. Teachers played an active role in designing and delivering enjoyable learning activities. The children showed enthusiasm, were able to memorize the phrases, and began to use kalimat thayyibah in their daily routines. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the singing method is effective in introducing kalimat thayyibah to early childhood, as it enhances knowledge and fosters religious habits in a joyful and developmentally appropriate manner

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the utilization of educational facilities and infrastructure can enhance the learning motivation of children aged 5-6 years at Kober Pelangi, Serang City. The study is based on the importance of a supportive physical learning environment during the golden age of early childhood development. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 25 children and 2 teachers. The findings indicate that the creative use of learning tools such as visual aids, images, educational games, and teacher-made materials from recycled items fosters a joyful learning atmosphere and boosts children's motivation. Children demonstrated high enthusiasm, active engagement, and repeated interest in learning activities. Conversely, the lack of adequate facilities leads to lower participation and enthusiasm. The implications of this study emphasize the need for optimal and innovative strategies in utilizing facilities and infrastructure, as well as collaboration among teachers, school principals, and parents to maximize limited learning resources in supporting early childhood learning motivation

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of congregational prayer habituation in shaping the disciplined character of early childhood students at PAUD Tunas Harapan. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed. The subjects were teachers and students at PAUD Tunas Harapan, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that congregational prayer is conducted routinely three times a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) before learning activities begin. Observations of 15 six-year-old students revealed that 80% demonstrated significant improvement in discipline, evidenced by punctual attendance, adherence to queuing rules during ablution, and orderly prayer row arrangement. The habituation process comprises three stages: preparation (ablution), implementation (two-rak'ah prayer), and reinforcement (collective prayer and positive reinforcement through praise/stickers). Teachers serve as role models by demonstrating prayer movements, providing guidance, and offering positive reinforcement. The implications of this research suggest that consistent congregational prayer habituation, combined with age-appropriate approaches, serves as an effective integrative strategy for developing religious and disciplinary character from an early age, while providing practical contributions for PAUD institutions in designing value-based habituation programs. Consistent habituation accompanied by enjoyable approaches proves effective in developing disciplined character in early childhood

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in introducing the values of monotheism to 10 students aged 5–6 years old (5 boys and 5 girls) at Qurrota A'yun Preschool (PAUD) in Serang City. Early monotheism education is crucial as a foundation for developing children's religious character. This study used descriptive qualitative methods to in-depth describe the processes and strategies used by teachers in teaching religious values. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation related to the institution's profile, religious programs, and learning activities. The results show that teachers play an active role in introducing the values of monotheism through habituation, role-playing, and engaging learning. Teachers use various methods such as storytelling, role-playing, singing, and creative activities appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood. Learning is integrated with daily Islamic activities such as group prayer, morning remembrance, and memorization of prayers and hadith. Obstacles such as limited time and the children's different family backgrounds are overcome by teachers through communication with parents and learning innovations. Thus, it can be concluded that teachers play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of children's faith. The strategy used has proven effective in introducing the values of monotheism in a fun and contextual way

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in shaping the religious character of early childhood through the habituation of Duha prayer at PAUD Al-Vatnoor in Serang City using a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were classroom teachers and Group B children aged 5-6 years. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that teachers play an essential role as mentors, role models, and facilitators in habituating children to perform Duha prayer regularly. The Duha prayer activity is conducted every morning after exercise and breakfast and is enthusiastically attended by most children. Through this activity, children exhibit religious behaviors such as praying before and after activities, saying "Bismillah" and "Alhamdulillah," showing respect to teachers, and expressing gratitude. Challenges encountered include children's lack of focus and limited parental support, which teachers overcome through a loving and motivational approach and collaboration with parents. The implications of this research emphasize that Duha prayer habituation can serve as an effective strategy for forming religious character from an early age, providing practical guidance for PAUD teachers in integrating spiritual values into daily routines. This study contributes theoretically to the field of early childhood character education based on religious values and practically offers a replicable model for other educational institutions seeking to develop children's spiritual foundation through consistent, enjoyable, and age-appropriate religious habituation practices
