Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in achieving corporate goals. Performance is influenced by workload, work-life balance, and social support, and can decline due to burnout. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, work-life balance, and social support on employee performance through burnout as an intervening variable at PT. Indokom Citra Persada. This research is motivated by the high job demands in the coffee processing and export industry, which have the potential to affect the psychological condition and performance of employees. These conditions prompt the company to understand the factors that can affect employee performance, both directly and through the condition of burnout. The study utilizes a quantitative approach with a sample of 51 employees. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, literature review, and questionnaire distribution, and then analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results of the study show that workload has a positive and significant effect on burnout and employee performance. Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, but does not have a significant effect on burnout. Social support has a positive but non-significant effect on both burnout and employee performance. Burnout also does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, burnout is unable to mediate the influence of workload, work-life balance, and social support on employee performance. The research findings indicate that the improvement of employee performance at PT. Indokom Citra Persada is more directly influenced by workload and work-life balance rather than through the mechanism of burnout. The results of this study are expected to serve as a consideration for company management in formulating policies that support the enhancement of employee performance through workload management and more effective implementation of work-life balance.
