Marriage registration plays a crucial role in providing legal certainty and protection for couples and their family members, while the practices of early marriage and unregistered marriages still require improved legal literacy at the community level. This community service initiative aims to enhance the understanding of the residents of Cihideung Hamlet, Batubantar Village, regarding the importance of marriage registration and the consequences of early marriage and unregistered marriages. The activity was conducted through a legal education seminar on August 1, 2026, at the Al-Mujahudin Mosque in East Cihideung, using a participatory approach that included presentations, interactions, and discussions with participants. The community service method was non-empirical, with qualitative evaluation based on participant engagement, the presentation process, responses during the activity, and documentation of the implementation. The results of the activity showed that the seminar provided an educational space to connect marriage norms with legal certainty, the protection of women and children, and the prevention of the risks associated with early marriage and unregistered marriage. The sustainability of the program requires periodic education, institutional collaboration, and measurable evaluation using pre- and post-activity instruments. This program strengthens the community’s legal literacy based on a preventive and participatory approach.
