Abstract

Febrile seizures are one of the most common emergency conditions experienced by toddlers and often cause anxiety and panic among parents. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the FESMACARD game (Febrile Seizure Management Card) on parents’ knowledge regarding the emergency management of febrile seizures in toddlers at Posyandu within the working area of Ciwaruga Public Health Center. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The sample consisted of 30 parents of toddlers selected using a total sampling technique. Parents’ knowledge levels were measured before and after the intervention using a knowledge questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that prior to the intervention, most parents had poor to moderate levels of knowledge. After receiving education through the FESMACARD game, parents’ knowledge levels increased to a good category. The Wilcoxon test revealed a p-value < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference in knowledge before and after the intervention. The FESMACARD game has a significant effect on improving parents’ knowledge regarding the emergency management of febrile seizures in toddlers
