Abstract

Analysis and design of software is an important stage in the process of developing information systems. Through the analysis and design process, user requirements can be identified more clearly so that the developed software can run according to the expected objectives. This study discusses the implementation of ADPL in the development of Academic Information Systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a system design tool. The Academic Information System is designed to assist in managing student data, lecturer data, lecture schedules, grade processing, and delivering academic information more effectively and efficiently. The methods used in this study include system requirements analysis, use case diagram design, activity diagram, class diagram, and sequence diagram. In addition, database design was also carried out to support the data storage process in the system. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of analysis and design of software can help the software development process become more structured, improve the efficiency of academic data management, and make it easier for developers to understand system requirements before the implementation process is carried out.
