<![CDATA[Traditional games are an important part of local culture and contain various physical movement, agility, cooperation, and social interaction activities that can support elementary school physical education. However, the potential of traditional Papuan games has not been optimally integrated into formal physical education learning. This study aims to examine the integration of traditional Papuan games into physical education learning at the elementary school level and to identify their potential contribution to students’ physical fitness and learning engagement. The study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test control group. The research is conducted through the identification and selection of relevant traditional Papuan games, preparation of learning instruments, implementation of learning activities, and assessment of students’ physical fitness. Data are analyzed quantitatively by comparing changes in physical fitness between the experimental and control groups. The study is expected to demonstrate that the integration of traditional Papuan games can provide an engaging and contextual learning experience while supporting students’ physical fitness. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of culturally responsive physical education and provide an applicable learning alternative that simultaneously supports physical development and the preservation of Papuan cultural heritage.]]>
