<![CDATA[Household electricity is an essential part of daily life and supports various domestic and economic activities. However, limited understanding of electrical installation requirements and safe electricity use may expose households to risks such as electric shock, short circuits, fire, and inefficient electricity consumption. This community service activity aimed to provide education and increase community awareness regarding safe and comfortable household electricity utilization in Koya Koso Village, Abepura District, Jayapura City. The activity was conducted on 15 August 2025 at the Koya Koso Village Hall using a participatory educational approach consisting of an initial survey, presentation, demonstration using a residential electrical installation training board, and interactive discussion. The materials covered basic residential electrical installation requirements, electrical safety, prevention of short circuits and fire, proper use of electrical equipment, and understanding household electricity consumption and billing. The activity involved 45 participants, exceeding the initial target of approximately 30 participants. Participants actively engaged in the discussion and raised practical issues concerning prepaid electricity tokens, possible electricity leakage, cable connections, electricity charges, and the boundaries of responsibility between electricity providers and household installation owners. The participation and discussion indicated that the educational materials were relevant to the community's practical needs. The activity also identified the need for follow-up practical training on residential electrical installations to strengthen community skills in safe electricity utilization.]]>
