Abstract

This study was conducted to measure the extent to which work motivation, work environment conditions, discipline, and career development influence job satisfaction, both collectively and individually, among employees of PT. Prima Paduan Baja Universal Tbk. This study used a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires from 100 permanent employees. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to assess the impact of independent variables on job satisfaction as the dependent variable. The results of the study published that, collectively, motivation, work environment, discipline, and career development have a significant influence on the level of job satisfaction. Meanwhile, separately, each independent variable also shows a positive and significant influence; with the work environment as the most influential factor, followed by motivation. These findings highlight the importance of strategically managing motivational aspects, work atmosphere, discipline, and career development to improve employee satisfaction and performance. Therefore, companies are advised to implement human resource management policies that are adaptive, comprehensive, and focused on employee development. In addition, the coefficient of determination analysis shows that these four factors are able to explain 38.7% of the variation in job satisfaction among employees. Furthermore, the results of this study also provide insight for company management regarding areas that need attention in improving employee welfare. While all four factors have significant influence, maintaining a positive work environment, including meeting employees' physical and psychological needs, is crucial, as it can create a more conducive atmosphere for productivity. High motivation and clear career development can also increase employee engagement and commitment to the company. Therefore, companies need to continuously issue and improve policies related to the work environment, discipline, and career development opportunities to ensure sustainable job satisfaction and long-term performance improvement.
