Abstract

The low learning outcomes and student’s difficulties in understanding calculus courses, espe-cially integral topic, encourage us as researcher to design a calculus lesson for first year students by using realistic mathematical approach (Realistic Mathematics Education). For that we try to design a series of instructional activities starting from understanding integral as an anti derivative. The in-structional activity is designed and developed based on the learning process that occurs in the class-room by involving 30 first year students in FMIPA UNP. The classroom learning compared with our Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). The results of teaching experiment show that students un-derstanding of derivative plays important role in understanding the integrals, in general students have difficulty in communicating their ideas in determining the anti-derivative of a function. Through class-room discussions students can get ideas and discuss it in determining the anti-derivative of a function. Based on these results it is recommended to conduct classroom discussions to build students under-standing in studying calculus especially integral as an anti derived.

Abstract

A low-purine diet is recommended for gout patients. The goal of this diet are to achieve and maintain normal nutritional status while also lowering uric acid levels in the blood. This study aims to manage the menu of a low-purine diet in order to minimize the deviations of energy, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates using the weighted goal programming method. The study was started by formulating the models and planning a diet menu using the weighted goal programming method. The results showed that the food portions of the low-purine diet menu planning using the weighted goal programming method could fulfill the target of the patient's total daily energy needs.

Abstract

A system of fuzzy linear equations is a linear equation with more than one number that is related to one another where the constants and variables are in the form of fuzzy numbers. To solve it, the system of fuzzy linear equations is changed to a system of non-fuzzy linear equations and the solution uses codeblock program software to get fast and accurate results. In solving the system of fuzzy linear equations in this study, the Crout decomposition method was applied and developed an algorithm to be applied to the C++ language. Crout's decomposition method is to decompose a matrix into a multiplication matrix ???????? where the matrix ???? (Lower) is the lower triangular matrix and the matrix ???? (Upper) is the upper triangular matrix whose main diagonal has a value of one. The results of the research are in the form of programs that can find solutions to systems of fuzzy linear equations that have fulfilled the complexity of the function.

Abstract

Abuse of aibon glue will cause addictive behavior because there is substance lysergic acid diethyilamide in the glue. The level of spread of Aibon glue addiction depends on educational factors and the tratment given. This study aims to establish, analyze and interpret the results of the analysis of the mathematical model of Aibon glue addiction in street children with education and treatment faktors. This research includes basic research using descriptive methods. The mathematical model formed is the SEIR model. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, two fixed points are obtained, namely the disease-free fixed point and the endemic fixed point. Disease-free fixed point is asymptotically stable if  Whereas for an endemic fixed point it will be asymtotically stable if it meets the requirement obtained from the Routh-Hurwitz criteria. The greater the education given, the more educated the population will be. Whereas when the treatment is getting bigger, the infected population decreases.

Abstract

A disease that can affect chili plants is anthracnose. This disease can cause crop loss. The level of spread of this disease depends on control efforts, starting from preventive and moving to curative efforts. The purpose of this study was to form a model, analyse it, and interpret the result of a mathematical model analysis of the spread of anthracnose disease in chilies with preventive and curative measures. This type of research is basic research, and the method used is the descriptive method. The mathematical model formed is the SIRPC model.  The SIRPC model is the resultant mathematical model. Two balance point the illness free balance point and the endemic balance point are discovered as a result of the study that has been done. the illness free balance point and the endemic balance point obtained are asymptotically stable. The greater the preventive action, the more the protected population increases and the vulnerable population decreases, while when the curative action is greater, the infected and carrier populations decrease.

Abstract

West Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia that is prone to earthquakes due to the Great Sumatran Fault and the convergence of the Indo-Australian Plate and the Eurasian Plate beneath the sea to the west of the island of Sumatra. Padang is a city with earthquake potential due to the Semangko Fault, and one of the potential consequences is the occurrence of tsunamis. To minimize these impacts in Padang, tsunami evacuation buildings, known as shelters, have been established. Therefore, it is crucial for the community to be aware of the nearest routes to these evacuation shelters in Padang. One method employed is using Network Analyst. Network Analyst is a tool within the ArcGIS software, which is a Geographic Information System (GIS) developed by ESRI to manage, analyze, and visualize geographical data. By utilizing Network Analyst, the closest routes to the researched areas are generated. Network Analyst employs the Dijkstra's algorithm to solve routing problems and can be generated based on two criteria: distance and time. The result of the nearest route to the tsunami evacuation shelter in Batang Arau Subdistrict, South Padang District, is from SDN 29 Pebayan Penggalangan to Nurul Iman Mosque Padang, spanning a distance of 1585 meters. The analysis of the nearest route using Network Analyst is then compared with manually calculated results using the Dijkstra's algorithm. The difference between manual calculations and Network Analyst results ranges from 1 to 4 meters, approaching reality. This information can serve as a reference for determining the nearest routes to evacuation shelters in the event of a tsunami in Padang.

Abstract

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, investors in almost all countries are interested in investing in stocks. The wrong investment decision in deciding when it is the right time to buy and sell shares can cause big losses for investors. Therefore, technical analysis is required. One of the technical indicators used in intraday trading is the volume-weighted average price (VWAP). To predict the VWAP accurately in stock trading transactions, a genetic algorithm is used. The stocks that are suitable to be selected for conducting stock trading transactions are PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. This research is applied research that uses secondary data from the website of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. The results showed that the predictive results of the VWAP testing data for PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk are close to actual data, which means that the genetic algorithm has good predictive abilities with an accuracy rate of 99.7% (very high method accuracy).

Abstract

The increasing number of companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange means that there are more investment options for investors, causing investors to be confused about choosing the right company to invest in. Investors need to avoid mistakes in investing, one of which is by analyzing the company's financial performance ratios. In this study, companies in the open energy sector will be grouped based on financial performance ratios using the Fuzzy C-Means method. The results of this clustering can be used as material for consideration for investors wishing to invest in the open energy sector. The Fuzzy C-Means method is a method for grouping objects where the presence of cluster members is based on the degree of fuzzy membership. The ratios to be used are Earning per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM). The number of clusters to be formed is 2 clusters. The calculation results obtained are that there are 46 companies in Cluster 1 and 22 companies in Cluster 2. Based on the analysis of cluster characteristics, cluster 2 is a cluster that contains companies with high financial ratios with the highest ratio value being Earning per share and net profit margin This means that the financial performance of companies in this cluster is quite good.

Abstract

The spread of tuberculosis can occur in two ways, namely exogenous and endogenous. The spread of tuberculosis exogenously or Exogenous Reinfection of tuberculosis can be observed using a mathematical model. Then an analysis of the mathematical model with a bifurcation approach was carried out. Based on the result, it was found that there was a change in stability properties and the type of equilibrium point in the distribution equation system of exogenous reinfection tuberculosis, where the parameter that occurred bifurcation was , with . When value of is smaller than zero, the system of differential equations of exogenous reinfection tuberculosis shows an unstable with a saddle point type, when the value of is equal to zero the system of differential equations cannot be determined its stability, and when system of differential equations shows asymptotic stability, where there is a change in species. The points are nodes, star nodes, and spirals.
