Abstract

Utilization of free HPV DNA screening for early cervical cancer detection remains suboptimal among women of reproductive age. This cross-sectional study examined factors associated with free HPV DNA screening utilization among 300 women in Curug Manis Village, Serang City, Banten, Indonesia, selected via simple random sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire (Cronbach’s ? = 0.852) and analyzed using Chi-square and binary logistic regression (p < 0.05). Overall, 62.3% of respondents had utilized the screening service. Bivariate analysis showed significant associations with knowledge, attitude, perception, family support, healthcare provider support, and healthcare access (all p < 0.05; OR range 1.68–1.95). Multivariable analysis identified knowledge (AOR = 1.94) and healthcare access (AOR = 1.83) as the strongest predictors. Screening utilization was influenced by both individual and healthcare service factors, with knowledge and access being most significant. Strengthening health education, improving service access, and enhancing family and provider engagement may increase screening coverage and support cervical cancer prevention in primary healthcare.
