Abstract

Purpose — This study aims to get a visual picture of the development of Islamic banking research globally from time to time. The theme of “Islamic Banking” is interesting to discuss because the principles of Islamic banking are based on the balance between well-being and prosperity, based on equality, risk-sharing, and ethical conduct, which makes Islamic banks different from conventional banks.Method — The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative research, which is based on literature by taking data sourced from Dimensions.ai which will then be analyzed using quantitative methods based on bibliographies from journals/or articles, using the help of the R-Biblioshiny application.Result — Research documents with the topic and keyword of “Islamic bank” still increasing every year. But the growth and development are just in certain countries, especially “Southeast Asia” in Asia. Based on the bibliometric, “Hassan MK and Sufian F” are “the most productive writers”. The most productive affiliates are “Islamic Azad University” followed by “International Islamic University Malaysia”. However, the dominant citation of the article with this subject is from “Finland”, namely “Gronroos C”.Contribution — This study visualized the trends in the most popular keywords, journals, and authors of articles on the theme of Islamic Banking, which has been quite a popular theme in recent years, thereby providing information for researchers specializing in the field of Islamic banking and finance research. This theme has the potential to continue to be developed.

Abstract

Cryptography is a method for securing data or information from data leaks. In cryptography, there are two important processes, namely, the encryption and decryption processes. Encryption is the process of changing plaintext into ciphertext using certain keys and algorithms, while decryption is the process of changing ciphertext into plaintext using keys and algorithms that match the encryption. There is a cryptosystem that is well known, namely Cipher Hill. Cipher Hill uses a square matrix for the encryption and decryption process. In this research, an mxn-sized matrix will be used over the Direct Sum ring Z_p⨁Z_q⨁Z_r to expand the Cipher Hill algorithm. The author also uses the pseudoinverse concept to find the inverse of an mxn matrix. By using an mxn matrix, the encryption results allow the length of the plaintext to be different from the length of the ciphertext. Keywords: Cipher Hill, Cryptography, Decryption, Encryption, Direct Sum, Pseudoinvers

Abstract

The suitability of implementing syndicated financing in Sharia banks to the MUI DSN Fatwa is an important matter for several underlying reasons; first, Sharia banks have a fairly high risk if they provide financing with a nominal value exceeding the predetermined financing distribution limit. Second, the minimal level of supervision carried out by stakeholders in the implementation of syndicated financing carried out by Sharia banks and the low level of knowledge and insight of the community (customers), especially in Sharia-based syndicated financing. Third, it is not uncommon for misunderstandings or disputes to occur between customers and Sharia banks as a result of funding syndicated that does not meet Sharia compliance aspects. Fourth, the public does not fully believe that implementing syndicated financing by Sharia banks is by Islamic law. The results of the research show that there has been compatibility between the implementation of the funding syndicated of BPRS Muamalah Cilegon and the DSN MUI Fatwa Number 91/DSN-MUI/IV/2014. This can be seen from the suitability of the contract between fellow syndication participants, the terms of the agreement between the syndicated entity and the customer, and the provisions related to accounts and contract documents.
