Abstract

Long jump is an athletic sport that requires a combination of physical skills such as speed, strength, leg muscle explosive power and balance. To achieve optimal jumping distance, an athlete must master all these aspects well. However, in school learning, basic long jump techniques, especially in the throwing and landing phases, often become a challenge for students. Many students have not mastered this technique well, especially in terms of foot placement when pushing off and landing techniques. Based on observations made at SMA Negeri 1 WOJA on class XI MIPA 2 students, it was found that many students had not mastered the long jump technique well. Common mistakes include placing your feet incorrectly during the push-off and improper landing techniques, such as not bending your legs and not leaning your arms forward. This research aims to determine the influence of speed, leg muscle explosive power, and balance on students' long jump ability. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide a better understanding of the factors that influence long jump performance and provide recommendations for improving jumping technique and results. This type of research is pre-experimental with a quantitative approach, using a one group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Levene's test of homogeneity. The results of the analysis show a significant value for the pretest normality test of 0.065 and posttest of 0.159, as well as the homogeneity test of 0.016.
