Abstract

The concept is the result of the thoughts of each individual in a society and is a guideline for a multicultural society, each concept of a multicultural society has many differences, this proves the diversity of culture, religion, culture, ethnicity, work, and others in a multicultural society. This writing uses a qualitative method by explaining the state of a society based on differences in culture, culture, religion, ethnicity, different jobs, based on reading sources about multicultural society, so that the results of the reading are the same as what happens in today's society, that a multicultural society has its own characteristics, such as: living in groups, creating culture, experiencing change, interacting, there is complete leadership, social stratification, all these differences arise becausegeographical conditions, strategic location of the region, different climatic conditions,Thus, society can be grouped into two types, namely modern and traditional society. Through these two types of society, it has been proven that the concept of each society cannot be unified, both influence each other, so through Islamic religious education it is hoped that harmony and peace in diversity can be maintained, even though in the Islamic material itself there are many differences in concepts and opinions, all these differences are only a wealth.
