Abstract

This community service program aims to empower PKK mothers and children in Sipare Pare Village through training on eco-print tote bag production based on local assets. The program applied a participatory educational method using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which includes asset identification, participatory planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The activity was carried out through hands-on practice in making eco-print tote bags by utilizing locally available leaves and plants as environmentally friendly natural materials. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ creativity and practical skills, as well as increased awareness of the potential for creative economy development based on local resources. Active participation and enthusiasm of the participants became key indicators of the program’s success. This activity is expected to encourage community economic independence and promote sustainable development of creative products at the village level.
