Abstract

The development of information technology allows the development of an innovative library service system, one of which is the development of a journal management system. Research purposes to develop an android-based online journal system in library. The research method uses a prototype system development method with five stages. The results of this study succeeded in developing an android-based online journal system with several search, submit and review journal features. The results of the system testing show that the web design is attractive to users with a score of 4.0; realibility is good enough to get a mean of 3.0; (c) Responsiness is quite good with a score of 3.0; security 3.0 the system's ability to maintain user data security is good enough; Functionality is quite good with 3.0; Attractivess is very interested in the 5.0 score; Personalization 3.0, this shows that the availability of information to ask questions is good enough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the Indonesian Institute of Business and Informatics Library prepares for library accreditation, especially in the collection component. The instrument used in this study is the university library accreditation instrument listed in the national library regulations of the Republic of Indonesia number 10 of 2018. The library collection component has 26 key indicators with a maximum weight of 20. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The technique of collecting data is through observation and structured interviews with the drafting team for the accreditation of the Indonesian Institute of Business and Informatics Library. The results showed that the Indonesian Institute of Business and Informatics Library based on the university library accreditation instrument was estimated to get a value of 13.7 out of a maximum weight of 20 for the collection component. This means that the preparation of the Indonesian Institute of Business and Informatics Library is still not optimal and must be improved again. The library of the Indonesian Institute of Business and Informatics has the potential to increase its accreditation value derived from 16 other indicators which include the availability of collection development policies, implementation of policies, surveys of collection needs, number of printed books, titles of reference books, subscribed scientific journals, subscribed electronic journals, addition of printed book collections, number of electronic book collections, audio visual collections, number of brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, posters, subscribed databases, processing standards, enumeration, fumigation, and improvement of library materials.

Abstract

Information technology is an information that is formed in detail and simply by going through the delivery process from the sender to the recipient with a fast process. The role of libraries in this information technology era is very helpful for librarians and users. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method using descriptive research and data collection by using interviews, observation and literature review. The object of this research study is Bina Sriwijaya College. Mastery and application of information technology at Bina Sriwijaya College can be said to still use the old way. The use of information technology for user needs is still in the process of digitizing. The development of a digital library or e-library for library management staff can help work in the library through the function of the library automation system.

Abstract

Ergonomics studies in the Reading Room of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bengkulu University need to be carried out so that users feel comfortable in the library. The aims of this research is to examine the application of ergonomics concepts to the facilities and infrastructure of the Reading Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bengkulu University, which include bookshelves, reading tables, reading chairs, lighting, temperature and humidity. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods with a survey approach. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 183 respondents using the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) method based on ergonomic aspects: effective, comfortable, safe, healthy, and efficient. The results showed that the respondents' assessment of the facilities and infrastructure of the FISIP UNIB Reading Room was as follows (1) bookshelf 82% (good); (2) reading table 72.6% (good); (3) reading chair 70.8% (good); (4) lighting level of 58% (sufficient); (5) temperature and humidity 58% (enough). The conclusion in this study is that in the Reading Room of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bengkulu University, it is not optimal in applying the ergonomic concept. The Reading Room of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Bengkulu needs to pay attention to the maximum application of ergonomics so that it can provide comfort for users visiting the library.
