Abstract

Character education has a higher meaning than moral education because it does not just teach what is right and what is wrong, but helps children experience good values, be willing and able to do them. The formation of a child's personal character (character building) should start in the family because the child's first interactions occur in the family environment. Character education should be implemented from an early age because at an early age it really determines a child's ability to develop their potential. Character education in early childhood can lead children to maturity in processing emotions. Emotional intelligence is an important provision in preparing young children to face a future full of challenges, both academically and in national and state life. Awareness and understanding of the value of integrity is very important to know from an early age integrity is a character value that must be instilled from an early age. responsibility and cooperation in the values of children's abilities in developing their potential
