Abstract

The development of digital payment technology has changed the economic activities of society. One form of this development is the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), which facilitates transactions and has the potential to support more orderly household financial management. This condition is relevant to strengthening family economic resilience, particularly in managing income, expenditure, and daily needs. This study aims to analyze the use of QRIS in supporting financial management and family economic resilience in Tran Aliaga Ujung Batu II Village, Hutaraja Tinggi Subdistrict, Padang Lawas Regency, from the perspective of Islamic law. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through field research involving interviews, observation, documentation, an initial survey, and the process of creating QRIS accounts and mentoring the community and business actors. The findings show that prior to the activity, 75% of residents already owned a smartphone and about 77% already had a digital wallet, yet none of the local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) had used QRIS. Following QRIS creation and mentoring, QRIS use was found to improve transaction efficiency and support more orderly financial record-keeping, while remaining consistent with the principles of muamalah in Islamic law as long as it avoids riba, gharar, and maysir. This study is also expected to provide practical benefits for the community and business actors in utilizing digital payment technology effectively and in accordance with the principles of Islamic law.
