Abstract

The service quality are believed to have an impact on satisfaction and creating the word-of mouth activity. The purpose of this research is to test the influences of service quality on customer satisfaction to increase words of mouth. To do this, data were collected by interviewing 100 patient of RS. Bhakti Wira Tamtama Semarang. Then, data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)The result shows that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, service quality has a positive and significant effect on words of mouth, and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on words of mouth. The results also show that service quality has the highest effect in creating the words of mouth. Therefore, the managerial implication should place the service quality improvement as a priority.

Abstract

A vehicle routing problem (VRP) is a problem in finding the most optimal route with the addition of a constraint. PT. Adiguna Gasindo is one of the LPG gas agents who needs help in shipping to agents, the problem is that there is a limit to the amount of LPG cargo that can be transported. In this research, we will solve the LPG delivery problem by optimizing distance and cost. The Clarke and Wright Savings Method, commonly known as the Saving Matrix, will be implemented to complete VRP. In this study, the distance approaches are the nearest insert and nearest neighbor. The test scenarios were carried out using three types of vehicles with different capacities, namely small (225 kg), medium (275 kg), and large (480 kg). The results obtained will be compared with the actual results (routes done) due to validation. From the results of 90 different scenarios, the results obtained by vehicles with large loads are those of vehicles that get the most optimal route in terms of distance and cost. The saving matrix will be more optimal if it is done by adding the nearest insert or nearest neighbor technique.

Abstract

Abstract

Understanding the intrinsic elements of a story remains a challenge because conventional methods do not train students' critical thinking skills while reading. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) model assisted by flash cards in enhancing students’ understanding of intrinsic story elements. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The participants consisted of 64 students, divided into an experimental group of 32 students and a control group of 32 students, selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test measuring comprehension of story elements, including theme, characters, characterization, plot, setting, point of view, moral message, and language style. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and an independent t-test. The findings revealed that the experimental group taught using the DRTA model with flash cards achieved higher post-test scores in the good category, while the control group taught through conventional methods remained in the fair category. The independent t-test confirmed a significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate that the DRTA model assisted by flash cards is effective in improving students’ reading comprehension of intrinsic story elements. The implication suggests that this model should be integrated into reading instruction to promote interactive, meaningful learning experiences and foster students’ critical thinking skills.
